Help with the village fundraising by collecting deposit bottles and cans!

There is now a deposit bottle and can drop box on the side of the headquarters on Neighborhood Road. Your deposit cans and bottles will help us meet the building's operating expenses. Leave your bottles and cans, and help us make Mastic Beach a village!

All children and their family members are welcome!

Children 10 years and younger, decorate a pumpkin at our pumpking stand with your family and enter the Pumpkin Contest. BEST PUMPTKINS WIN A PRIZE!

Fun for the entire family: Bake Sale, Roasted Corn, Pumpkin Decorating, Hot Dogs, Baked Clams, Face Painting, Crafts, Vendors, mum Sale, Candied Apples, Free Games, Music! Farmers' Market!

"Meet the Candidates" with invitations extended to candidates for:

- Brookhaven Town Supervisor
- Town Highway Superintendent
- Town Councilman, Sixth District
- County Legislator, Third District

Monday, October 5th at 7:00pm at the Mastic Beach Fire Department.

The presentation will be moderated by the League of Women Voters.

All are invited! Refreshments will be served.

The Fundraising/Beautification Committee will briefly report on the plans for Fall decorations on Neighborhood Road and for the Oct. 17th Harvest Festival prior to the presentation.

The Mastic Beach Village Exploratory Committee will also briefly report on the progress with the signature petition.

Agenda (changed):

1. The Fundraising and Beautification Committee reports on the 2009 Community Leadership Dinner/Dance. Tickets will be available for purchase to the annual dinner/dance to be held on Sunday, September 13th, at 5 pm at Ladakins Restaurant.

2. The 2009 Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday,October 17th at Neighborhood Square (at the gazebo by the Nutrition Center).

3. The Mastic Beach Village Exploratory Committee will receive a report from the Signature Petition Subcommittee. Joseph Prokop, the committee’s municipal attorney, will be present to provide information and to answer questions on the next steps in the incorporation process.

4. The Signature Petition will be available for signing by all residents in attendance. Village lawn signs, t-shirts, and baseball caps also will be available for purchase.

All residents are cordially invited to this very important meeting that will affect the future of our community. All members are encouraged to bring a guest or guests. Refreshments will be served.

Village Petition begins! Next meeting August 7th!

Next meeting: Monday, August 3, 2009, 7pm-9pm at Mastic Beach Fire Department. Everyone welcome! Village Petition Kickoff!! The census has been completed!

1. Be the among the first to sign the petition to take back our town! The Mastic Beach Village Exploratory Committee celebrates the successful completion of the Census and the beginning of the signature Petition drive with an old-fashioned ice cream social.

2. Brookhaven Town Councilman Keith Romaine answers questions of concern to the residents of Mastic Beach.

3. Tickets will be available for purchase to the 2009 Community Leadership Dinner/Dance
Honoring Wm. Floyd Board President Bob Vecchio and Father Todd Saccoccia of St. Jude's Church, to be held on Sunday, September 13th, at 5 pm at Ladakins Restaurant.

4. The PCCA announces their proud sponsorship as a registered supporter of The 3/50 Project to encourage the patronage of local businesses and the revitalization of our mainstreets.

All residents are cordially invited to this very important meeting that will affect the future of our community.

Community Leadership Dinner-Dance, September 13th

Please join us in honoring William Floyd Board President Robert Vecchio and Father Todd Saccoccia of St. Jude's Church for serving their community as both leaders and role models in a time when we are in dire need of both!

We will be celebrating their contributions at Ladakins Restaurant in Moriches on Sunday, September 13th, 2009, from 5 to 9pm.

Tickets may be purchased for $40 per person to our Second Annual Community Leadership Dinner/Dance, featuring a gourmet buffet, music, and a cash bar. Journal Ads may also be purchased.

The Pattersquash Creek Civic Association presents a community fundraiser to benefit the Mastic Beach Village Exploratory Committee. Luck O'The Irish Festival featuring a Chinese Auction, Bake Sale, and Spring Craft Sale on Saturday, March 14, 2009, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Town Nutrition Center on Neighborhood Road (next to the gazebo at the Neighborhood Square in the Mastic Beach business district).

$5.00 admission includes 5 free auction tickets. Free refreshments will be served. Admission tickets can be bought in advance (and will receive an extra 6th auction ticket) or at the door.

Census Begins! Village Cost Analysis Reveals No New Taxes!

The Pattersquash Creek Civic Association will hold its general membership meeting on Monday, February 2nd, at 7:00 pm at the Mastic Beach Fire Department on Neighborhood Road.

The Mastic Beach Village Exploratory Committee will follow with special presentations on:

* Step 2—Taking the Census
* The Village Cost Analysis: No New Taxes.”

Municipal Attorney Joseph Prokop will be present to answer questions.
